Well, 22nd April 2021 was a tormenting day for the Clarke household since they lost their pride. Terrence Clarke who was selected for the NBA Draft lost his life in a car crash last day. He was working out with BJ Boston before he ran towards his depressing fate. He rode his 2021 Hyundai Genesis and was not wearing his seatbelts accordingly.
He crashed with a truck that was trying to make a left turn, hit a street light pole finally hitting a block wall. With medical assistance, he was transported to Northridge Hospital where he was sentenced dead. This 19-year-old who belonged from Boston had a promising future in front of him that saddened everyone in his life.
He and BJ Boston recently signed their contract with Klutch sports. “We are saddened and devastated by the tragic loss of Terrence Clarke,” stated the CEO of Klutch Sports. He also added “Terrence was an incredible, hard-working young man. He was excited for what was ahead of him and ready to fulfil his dreams. Our prayers go out to Terrence and his family, who ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
He was recruited by Kentucky Wildcats which he took as an honour. In his recent update in his social media handle, he comments “As an adolescent, having the privilege to put on the Kentucky uniform and play in front of the BBN was always a lifelong goal of mine,”
He continued “Although it was hindered due to things out of my own control, the experience is something I will keep with me forever. I have grown a lot with this experience and I will never take it for granted.”
His performance and commitment to Kentucky made a mark that gained him recognition. Members of renowned sports groups such as Kemba Walker from the Boston Celtics came to know him. He admits that he knows Clarke. He comments “Yes, I did. Very well. Very well. Very, very, very tough. Very tough news, man. He’s a very, very good kid. Just always smiling, always energetic. And he was about to get his opportunity, too. My condolences to his family.
He continues “It’s a tough time, man. That’s really tough news to hear. I don’t even know what to say. It’s kind of tough. It’s kind of mind-boggling to hear something like that.”
On listening to this fatal news Kentucky men’s basketball head coach has devastated. He says “A young person who we all love has just lost his life too soon, one with all of his dreams and hopes ahead of him. Terrence Clarke was a beautiful kid, someone who owned the room with his personality, smile and joy. People gravitated to him, and to hear we have lost him is just hard for all of us to comprehend right now. We are all in shock.
He also, says “Terrence’s teammates and brothers loved him and are absolutely devastated. They know we are here for them for whatever they need.”
Lastly, he adds “I am on my way to Los Angeles to be with his mother and his brother to help wherever I can. This will be a difficult period for all those who know and love Terrence, and I would ask that everyone take a moment tonight to say a prayer for Terrence and his family. May he rest in peace.”
The fatal event has video footage that confirms that Terrence Clarke was a solo rider and also he was careless with his seatbelts. Also, he ran over a red light since he drove his car at a high speed. His family, his parents and siblings are overwhelmed with this tragic news. However, the support from his near and dear ones will help the family to cope up with their current situation.
